Tout, terriblement

Oh, Yves.
Some people have this strange power. A power that makes everybody fall in love with them, even without knowing them personnally. Something beyond charm. Jean-Paul Gaultier, Charlotte Gainsbourg have it. And my friend Ioana too.
The man who designed exquisite clothes and said exquisite things such as "The most beautiful garment a woman can ever wear is the arms of the man she loves." had a 50 year-long relationship with Pierre Bergé, a businessman/pygmalion/poet/art collector (700 pieces he sold after Yves Saint Laurent's passing).
Pierre Bergé declared once "Yves is never happy. He is only happy a few hours a year, during the presentation of his collection." It is this perpetual torment that lead him to create some of the most iconic clothes (the Safari Jacket, smoking...) for his muses - Loulou de la Falaise, Betty Catroux, Talitha Pol-Getty, Catherine Deneuve...

On September 22nd, the documentary about Pierre and Yves' relationship "Un amour fou" by Pierre Thoretton will come out.

Love and Haute Couture... Let me slip in my Mondrian dress I don't own, and I'm there!
