AnOther Magazine is introducing their first fragrance- AnOther 13. These non traditional perfume images are self portraits by the talented and amazing photographer Lina Scheynius. She explains in a short interview how she just checked into a five star Hotel with a couple of Chloe outfits, started playing around, shooting on polaroids all by herself. As simple as that I want to smell as beautiful as these images ended up.
Some people have this strange power. A power that makes everybody fall in love with them, even without knowing them personnally. Something beyond charm. Jean-Paul Gaultier, Charlotte Gainsbourg have it. And my friend Ioana too.
There are a few things I am painfully ashamed of. To name a few: geography, mental arithmetic, talking with a pen hanging from my mouth and... modern art.
(and jazz and classical music).
Anyway, the lovelyGeorgia showed a couple of images from the late Japanese artist/video director/designer Nagi Noda (1973-2008). Her hair hats are the most amazing thing ever: creepy, beautiful, funny, poetic, a bit revolting.
Her videos combine perfectly humour and aesthetics. Forget about Jane Fonda, work out with poodles!
Let me introduce you to Tish & Snooky, the coolest sisters ever. The girls opened in the 70ies MANIC PANIC the first punk style boutique at St. Marc's Place, NYC. It quickly became the to-go-to place, introducing the wildest hair colors and the most shocking nail polishes to their customers.
Tish & Snooky played in the original Blondie lineup and kept performing as Sic F*ucktogether with Patti Smith or at CBGB'S closing party. The Manic Panic boutique was as important to the punk scene as Westwood's -McLarens Sex store and reached an iconic status. "New York had never seen anything as cool as MANIC PANIC!"
Today MANIC PANIC is distributed all over the world, which gives us losers the chance to re-live the 70ies and to keep the spirit alive with a never ending come back. I don't know about you, but I will definitely get my hands on some crazy neon lipstick and matching eye shadow. Where? Opening Ceremony carries these beauties for you! Rosa
Do you remember the time when you had a pen friend and, well, after a couple of badly written english letters it would miserably fail ?
It did work for Rosa and Pauline. Our relationship started with work emails and pouf, something clicked. When we finally met, it felt like we knew each other for years. And we had so many things in common, it was a bit spooky. Oh, and also we realised we both blush very easily. So why not make the most of your flaws and turn it into a blog?!
This is blushed
